A Silicon Valley exec took a Geiger counter with him while he travel in Asia and at one point, 50km near Fukushima Power Plant. He logged the whole journey and guess what, radiation on plane is worse than near the plant.

From the log, it shows that the worse results is from Tokyo to San Francisco. Here is the source of the results (picture) that he posted on Flickr.
