Samsung offers greater variety and value to customers through Singapore’s first multimedia online and mobile radio streaming app
Singapore, 5 May 2011 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a market leader and award-winning innovator in consumer electronics and RADIOactive Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based audio streaming specialist introduced SONAR, Singapore’s first multimedia online and mobile radio streaming app today. SONAR will come pre-loaded on all new Samsung Mobile devices running on Android and bada platforms. It is also accessible to all Android devices downloadable from the Android Market and found online on Samsung Mobile Singapore Facebook fan page.

SONAR will be hosted by famous Singapore DJs Chris Ho and Vandetta. It also provides interactivity within social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook by syncing favorite tracks through social networking feeds with a click of the button. Listeners can also view song lyrics and watch music videos if it is available through the metadata, which is aggregated on a user-intuitive interface.
Another unique feature is for listeners to have a voice on the list of music being streamed via their votes for or against a track. This in turn provides SONAR a better understanding on listeners’ choice and a more strategic selection of new tracks. Besides music, listeners will receive regular updates of lifestyle news on music, fashion and events.
