Dell Streak Arrived in Singapore with Starhub, Pricing Within

I was invited to the Dell Streak Event jointly organized by Dell and Starhub. Dell Streak needs no introduction. I was able to play with it during IFA 2010 in Germany and recently at a Dell event. The wait is finally over.

The Dell Streak will be available from Starhub from 11th December 2010. BTW, the Dell Streak is now with Android 2.2 (Froyo). Here are the pricing plan.

The event was held at Nueva Cuba at Customs House.

This event was attended by quite a number of media and bloggers. Seems like many are interested in the availability of the device. The event was hosted by Ian Chapman-Banks.

We had an introduction to Dell’s current market approach and why Dell releases this Dell Streak. He mentioned that the 5-inch screen is the perfect size for people on the move to see emails and watch streaming content. And he highlighted some features of the Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS.

We had a short session with executives from Dell and Starhub to give us an in-depth view of the device and partnership.

From Dell, Mr. Varinderjit Singh, MD Dell Malaysia and Singapore.

And from Starhub, we have Mr. Long Shyang, Starhub’s Head of Sales and Marketing.

Moving on, we had a live demonstration of the Dell Streak by Ian.

Nothing much of a surprise, except that it has the Dell new user Interface, Stage, that provides a better scrolling experience with instant access to their favorite contents.

And together with Starhub, users can watch streaming video. Ian demonstrated this function to us.

We had a chance to play with the devices. Two colors to choose from, Red or Black. The Red is a glossy red while the Black is a matte black.

This is my first time seeing a Red Dell Streak. I guess it will appeal to the young or ladies who love Red.

There was also a contest. CNET won the Dell Streak.

and of course, the group pictures from Dell and Starhub.

Finally, Gavin and the girls.

and the girls.

I had a great time to mingle with fellow bloggers, Dell and Starhub people. I believe for those who wants portability and the big screen, this device may be the right choice.

That is it!
