If you have not notice, Windows Phone 7 is officially launched. Singapore will get it today (12th October). Here is a line up of the handsets from various manufacturers during the launch.

The Official makers during the launch are HTC, LG, Samsung and Dell. The showcase devices are Dell Venue Pro, HTC HD7, HTC Surround, LG Quantum, Samsung Focus.

Microsoft has been planning this launch for a long time. To me, it might be their last burst to get into the competitive Smartphone market. I guess their strategy works well by limiting the handsets’ hardware and software configuration.

It is interesting to see that the manufacturers are quite careful on their first Windows Phone 7 handsets. Many of them are just putting the minimum specs and nothing really spectacular.

Based on my personal experience, the WP7 OS seems good and responsive. Hopefully, they can catch up on apps on Marketplace.
