Fujitsu showcased a prototype social robot bear that resembles one shown in the movie, AI, many years ago. It seems so lively as compared to many robot bears that I have seen. Watch the video after the break.
It can perform 300 actions from 12 actuators (three face, three neck, and six in the body), 13 skin touch sensors, hand grip sensors, a tilt sensor, and a microphone. I hope it has some CPU inside to increase the AI in it. And hopefully when it is out of prototype, it can walk (or run) and looks as cute as the one in AI.
Engadget compared it with the bear in AI which I agree fully. Here is a short video of the AI bear.
