During the IFA 2010 and LG Blogger Forum, I got the chance to understand the latest Plasma technology from their technical people. I learned a lot from them.
Here are some facts about Plasma.
I have always know that it is better choice to get a Plasma TV if you want a big screen. Now, I understand why. The response time for Plasma is much faster than LCD, thus it will not have motion blur issue.
LG Plasma technology uses 600 Hz sub-field which means no more motion blur.
And according to LG, the power consumption of LG Plasma is lower than others.
LG is one of the few TV makers that has been THX certified.
So, if you are looking for true cinema sound quality, I think the Plasma TV is one of those. Below is LG’s THX 3D display certification. It is not easy to get this qualification with so many tests.
Based on LG, the Plasma 3D TV way of displaying 3D images is different from LCD active type. It is much simpler to display 3D images in Plasma 3D TV.
