This is another part of the program in the LG Blogger Forum. It is the introduction of the LG 3D sound and its 3D projector. First of all, I have to claim that I am no audiophile and this post is actually some basic information. You got to hear or see it yourself.
LG 3D Sound
First of all, how did LG gather the information on what users’ perception for 3D sound. They did a survey over 4 countries and the above (a bit blur as I set the wrong settings on my camera).
Some thinks 3D sound is better than 5.1 channel. Some thought of it as in a Movie Theater. So, what is the big differences between home cinema and the real cinema? The sound of real cinema travels vertically while the home cinema travels horizontally.
So, with LG 3D sound home cinema, it tries to replicate the cinema effect (as shown below).
Here is another illustration of the vertical sound.
I have tried the demo at the LG booth during IFA 2010. Maybe the room at the booth is too noisy, I could not really hear the effect. Again, I am not an audiophile, so, if it comes to Singapore, have a try yourself.
LG 3D Projector
Firstly, LG presented their competitors’ 3D projector technology.
Next, it presented their latest 3D projector, CF3D.
It is a single projector that projects in 3D Full HD. I personally tried it during a demo at LG booth and I must say that it makes the movie more enjoyable.
A look at what’s inside the CF3D 3D projector.
LG technology to auto calibrate 3D video.
According to LG, it has a unique 3D formatter chip that let low grade 3D source turned into a real 3D full HD image.
And the LG CF3D has a 1250 ANSI lumens.
With 100 Hz (TruMotion), the video appear smooth (based on my actual demo experience).
Some specs on LG 3D projector CF3D
So, if you are choosing a 3D projector for your home, remember to see the specifications so that you will not get short changed. BTW, I could only find the LG German website on this CF3D.
