Google May Be Working on an Android Tablet, iPad Killer?

There are not much details but many technology blogs are quite sure that Google is working with Verizon to come up with a Tablet. And as more information are pouring in, it seems that it will be based on Android platform (not Chrome OS).

I used this pic from Engadget and I would like to clarify that this is NOT the actual product. Anyway, the story starts from WSJ’s interview with Verizon CEO.

Verizon Wireless is working with Google Inc. on a tablet computer, the carrier’s chief executive, Lowell McAdam, said Tuesday, as the company endeavors to catch up with iPad host AT&T Inc. in devices that connect to wireless networks.

And then from Bloomberg, it gives more details.

The tablet will run on Google’s Android operating system, Marquett Smith, a spokesman for Verizon, said today in a phone interview. He declined to elaborate and said the carrier will release more details later this week.

So, lets wait to see if this is an iPad killer or not.
