Altitude Tent to Prep Soccer Stars for World Cup in South Africa

Whoa, now soccer players are being trained like mountain climbers. With World Cup in South Africa drawing near, England has gone to the extreme (my opinion) by providing altitude tents for England Soccer Stars who could not or may not acclimatize to South Africa high altitude (up to 5,000 feet above sea level).

According to Gizmodo,

At the facility, England’s players ride exercise bikes with masks that limit the amount of oxygen they can breath. Those who huff and puff a little too hard will have the oxygen-deprivation tents delivered to their homes, so they can gradually acclimatize their bodies to low-oxygen, high-altitude conditions.

Now, soccer is no longer a game of a ball with players fighting to enter the goal post. It has now evolved to a money making (Look at Starhub and Singtel, still fighting to screen World Cup), high technology, product endorsement type of sports.
