Spending My New Year’s Eve with HTC HD2 and Technology

How did you spend your New Year’s Eve. Well, I spent mine with my wife with gadgets and technology. 🙂 First, where to eat on New Year’s Eve? She googled the Internet and came to HungryGoWhere and found Ponggol Choon Seng Seafood Restaurant. This name reminds me of my childhood as Choon Seng Seafood Restaurant used to be at Punggol End.

Next, I use Google Maps to search for the place as Turnhouse Road is not familiar to me.

As I am not sure how the place looks like, I turned to Street View to have a quick look at the surrounding and how I should park my car. BTW, if you have noticed, I like to use my HTC HD2 for Google Maps and Street View.

Too bad, Google Maps does not have any turn-by-turn navigation (Hint: When is this function coming to Google Maps on Windows Mobile?). I used my Mapking to guide me to the place.

The place is very nice and looks like another part of Singapore. For the pictures that I showed below, they are taken by HTC HD2 and I did a little auto color, contrast, brightness and saturation. Of course the file sizes are reduced. For the dishes, I did two takes. One with flash and one without flash.

This is the reception area.

While in the restaurant, I tweeted about it with picture using HTC Peep. Using HTC Peep, it automatically resized the picture to 600 X 450.

These are the yummy dishes that we ordered.

Home-made Beancurd.

Below dishes are taken with and without the dual LED from HTC HD2.

Of course, before I leave the place, I took another picture using HTC Footprints.

So, that is it! My New Year’s eve dinner using Technology and HTC HD2 🙂 How did you spend your New Year’s eve?
