Eugene Kaspersky, CEO, of Kaspersky, visited Singapore and I was glad to be invited to meet him in person. The venue of the event is the Embassy of the Russian Federation. It was a rare chance to meet up with Eugene Kaspersky and also to visit the Russian Embassy.
In this picture, you can see Eugene Kaspersky and his Excellency, Mr. Audrey N. Rozhkov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentary, Embassy of the Russian of the Federation in Singapore. They were getting ready to go on stage.
One of the highlights of the evening is these ladies who helped to serve some finger food. Everybody is taking pictures of or with them.
Here is my contribution.
The evening started with our compere giving us a warm welcome and also invited Eugene Kaspersky, Mr. Audrey, Mr. Harry Cheung and Datuk Mohd Noor Amin (Chairman of IMPACT) to the stage to watch a breakdown performance.
You must be wondering why a breakdance performance for Eugene. I guess one of the reason is evident in the Kaspersky 2010’s marketing video and etc. Here are the boys.
Following that, Mr. Harry Cheung, MD of Kaspersky Lab, APAC gave a speech.
And here is Mr. Audrey.
And of course, Eugene Kaspersky. Before his speech, we viewed a montage from his baby pictures, his first encounter with Computer Virus to the present status that he has achieved. He is a very jovial person.
Of course, before he left the stage, he was asked a couple of questions to make us understand more about him.
And the rest of the evening is photograph session with him, networking and food!
The picture above, if you have notice, is totally out of frame. The reason is because there are so many photographers and video people to take the pictures, I did not try hard enough to dig a space for myself. 🙂
Look at the crowd!
Eugene is gamed for anything. Someone suggested doing so funny pictures and he obliged.
We were entertained with live band.
And the closing speech is graced by Datuk Mohd Noor Amin.
Of course, it is a rare chance to be so close with Eugene Kaspersky. I must take a picture with him.
I did not see any bloggers that I know over there. I think the dress code is a killer. We have to be in Business Attire and Cocktail Dress for ladies. That’s all! Hope you like it.
