Good news for people who are in search of a barcode reader software that is able to access price information from their mobile phone. ShopSavvy is coming to Windows Mobile devices. FYI, ShopSavvy is actually an award winning software made for Android. Now, the maker has decided to do it for Windows Mobile 6.5.
From source, ShopSavvy will be available in Microsoft Marketplace when Windows Mobile 6.5 is launched in October. For Windows Mobile 6.0/6.1, it will be released on a later date.
ShopSavvy is a free software from Biggu that has the function to scan barcode and search for the best price online and locally. It is able to determine the location via Skyhook, GPS and etc.

Previously, I had searched high and low for a barcode reader on Windows Mobile similar to ShopSavvy and finally, I found QuickMark (which is not free). Now. with ShopSavvy and its database, I am sure more people will be scanning barcode. 🙂
