This is not as good as the G.I. Joe suit in the movie. But this is real. Cyberdyne Corporation has been testing and upgrading the Hybrid Assistive Limb (HAL) suit for a while. It has various version for different uses. In this video, they decided to let the public to see how these suits can be used on daily life. On 3rd August 2009, three person walked down the busy street of Tokyo with this HAL suit at 1.8 km/hr. Video after the break.
Here is the video of them walking. I think they will need time to get use to it. Nevertheless, this suit is targeted for people with weak limb and etc.
