This news is causing a lot of excitement in the Android community. Imagine a working “Donut” on G1. This is a very early release (which means buggy) of Donut.

The news of Donut came from XDA forum. In one of the pages, it mentions some new features of the Donut (not sure if they are true but they are indeed exciting).

- gestures
- cdma
- search integrated into everything
- wpa enterprise
- vpn support
- automated backups
- tons of performance tweaking
