Google Planned Chrome OS to Focus on Speed, Simplicity and Security

chromeosAfter the success of Google Chrome browser, Google is not stopping there. They are now planning on a new OS (called Chrome OS) that will target the netbook (at first). Their plan is to roll out this OS in the 2nd half of 2010 for netbooks. And as it is the same for many of Google projects, it is open source.

Google is quick to point out that this project will be clash with the current Android OS as the targeted user is different. It is still too early to speculate anything yet.
