iTwin is a simple device for you to share files between computers using USB ports. It is like having an invisible cable linking them. You can transfer files between PCs effortlessly. And with their 256-bits encryption, there is no need to remember password anymore.
I have been following the progress of iTwin for almost a year now. I first saw it at CommunicAsia last year but I have no chance to see a demonstration. It was previously called TwinUSB. Now, with more tests and maturity, it is now called iTwin and it technology is in the patent pending stage.
Finally, today, I got a chance to meet up with Kal and let him demonstration the capability of iTwin to me.
As you can see, it is in prototype packaging.
Actually, they are looking for Venture Capitalist to this iTwin. Anyway, here is a initial product packaging.
From Kal, he mentioned that the current size has shrunk and they are able to pack it into a slimmer packaging (as shown in the main picture). This is a picture when they are taken apart.
iTwin already has its own website. Hit the link below to understand more about iTwin.

Just a brief explanation of how it works.
- Connect iTwin to computer using USB port. It will automatically boot up the iTwin folder.
- Put those files or folders you wanted to share into the iTwin folder.
- Unplug the other half of the iTwin and you are ready to go. It is already encrypted.
- Plug into any computer that has Internet connection and it will automatically boot up the iTwin folder. You can see the shared files and folders immediately.
Here is a brief description of the features of iTwin.
If you lost your other half of the iTwin, you can actually SMS to the iTwin server to disconnect the iTwin and data will NOT be misused. Another way, of course, is to manually unplug it from the computer.
A good thing about this iTwin is that you can purchase half of it. The reason is because the unique identification will only be generated once the two parts are combined together and placed into the USB port.
Actually, iTwin was mentioned in this week Digital Life but I felt that the coverage is not enough. In my opinion, iTwin is able to change how people share their files remotely in the future. There are bigger plans for future iTwin. For example, additional of 3G capability, remote sharing on Smartphone and etc.
So, if you are a Venture Capitalist and interested in this product, head down to iTwin to contact them now.
