During the PC Show, I pestered Mr. Kenneth Lau, who is the Managing Director Of Foresight Technologies who make iNO Mobile. He is a busy man but I managed to grab some private time with him. After some talk, he showed me the prototypes (or dummies) ofย iNO Mobile. BTW, for those who is new to iNO Mobile, click here for the Make In Singapore Phone for the Elderly ๐ . Prototypes from iNo Mobile after the break.

The suitcase holds the prototype and you need 2 keys to open it! ๐

As you can see abovem, the first 2 prototypes is silver in colour (BTW, none of them are working and one of them is just casing). Notice that one of them sports a screen that states OLED. I asked Kenneth about it and he confirmed that it will come with OLED.
The concept is a follow up from the original iNO CP09. Now, it has a bigger colour screen and one of them should have a camera. Below are a few more shots.

I think one of them still sports the SOS button. Anyway, Kenneth mentioned that he will be at CommunicAsia 2009 and if you intend to go there, try to see if you can see a working model as he mentioned that it may come this week.
Next, I still pester him on what other products that they are working on and he dug out something from his suitcase.

It is a multiplayer (with TV support) cum handphone device. He mentioned that it should be running on Windows Mobile 6.1.ย I asked him about the future Windows Mobile 6.5, he mentioned it should support. I should think that the software will be much more interesting.

When I asked him about the many “copycats” from China market, he mentioned that iNO Mobile will be different from them. They will design things that are original (like the CP09) and finally, I popped the question, “someone mentioned that your iNO Mobile CP09 is made in China product, is that true?” He told me that the CP09 has been sold in many countries. China is one of them. He has a partner and a team over there. So naturally, there should be a CP09 (with different name) to appear in China. In fact, in Europe, this phone has other capabilities built in (depending on the distributor over there).
So, that isย it! Make in Singapore and I wish Foresight Technologies all the best. Hopefully, we can get a “Creative Technology” type of company coming up soon! Watch out for Foresight Technologies as I have seen (but cannot take picture) of another secret phone that I have never seen before ๐ .
