Sony Unveils Second Generation Motionflow 200Hz BRAVIA LCD TV
The new BRAVIA Z5 series boasts cutting-edge Motionflow 200Hz performance and impressive picture quality with the latest BRAVIA technologies
(SINGAPORE, 9th June 2009) – Sony Singapore presents the new BRAVIA Z5 series, the Z5500, a dream screen that recreates an exhilarating Full HD entertainment experience with advanced motion performance featuring Motionflow 200Hz technology.
Outstanding High Performance
Featuring Motionflow technology at 200Hz, this new BRAVIA Z5 series promises extremely smooth, comfortable and crisp images via a high motion performance achieved by inserting three new intermediary frames after each original frame. The BRAVIA Z5 series also offers 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, allowing users to maximise their enjoyment of Blu-ray discs, HD Handycam recordings, and PlayStation® contents with stunningly dynamic and realistic images displayed on the BRAVIA Z5 series’ screen.
Empowered by the BRAVIA Engine 3, Live Colour Creation, Intelligent Picture, and MPEG Noise Reduction technologies, users will additionally enjoy true-to-life images with impressive depth and amazing clarity on the BRAVIA Z5 series. The new BRAVIA comes with S-Force Front Surround and Voice Zoom features that enhance audio reproduction for a complete home cinema experience from just the built-in speakers.
Environmentally Friendly Technologies
Incorporating eco-friendly technologies such as Power Saving Mode, Ambient Light Sensor, PC Power Management, and Idle TV Standby, the BRAVIA Z5 series helps users contribute to green efforts simply by minimising the impact of a key lifestyle activity, TV watching. These innovative BRAVIA features help users conserve energy and cut down on power consumption, providing substantial cost savings at the same time. In particular, the conveniently located BRAVIA Energy Saving Switch allows users to stop electricity leakage without having to unplug the AC cord from the outlet, cutting standby mode power consumption to practically 0W .

Flexibility In A BRAVIA
Placing emphasis on ease-of-use and multi-functionality, the BRAVIA Z5 series also multitasks as a giant digital photo frame with USB Photo Viewer, PhotoTV HD, and Picture Frame Mode. Also, users will be happy to know that the new BRAVIA is DLNA-compatible allowing the user to play movies, photos and music stored in your digital camera, mobile phone or PC onto your LCD TV. The BRAVIA Z5 Series also has 4 HDMI inputs and is BRAVIA Sync enabled so that users can enjoy intuitive one-push play and shut down on all connected compatible entertainment devices conveniently through one remote control.
The built-in DVB-T tuner also allows the new BRAVIA Z5500 to receive digital and high definition broadcasts without the need for an external setup box.
The new BRAVIA Z5 series will be available in Singapore from September 2009.
