During the Acer Smart Handheld launch in Singapore in April, we were given a glimpse of the F1 phone (on a slide) that is supposed to be using Snapdragon (1GHz) processor. Finally, Acer F1 has been revealed in Taiwan Computex running a Windows Mobile 6.5 with the Snapdragon processor. It seems to be very smooth in the video. Video links after the break.
This is the picture taken during Acer Smart handheld launch at Singapore. Seems like there isn’t much change on the look.
In the video, it is running WM6.5 and I am quite surprised that they did not showcase their Shell 2.0 User Interface. In the video, it also mentioned that it has a 5 MegaPixels camera with Flash. This should be interesting as I deem this model as a direct competition with HTC who doesn’t sport a flash for all its models and also Toshiba’s T-G01. Hopefully, HTC has something up its sleeves on 24th June.
From the translation of Engadget Chinese, it has: –
- Processor: Snapdragon
- Screen: 3.8 “screen
- Camera: 5mp camera
- Connectivity: HSDPA / Bluetooth / WiFi / GPS / FM radio
It mentions it should be available in Q4 at an undisclosed price.
