AR Zoo shows 3D animals on Card from Your Mobile Device

Augmented Reality software has been getting popular. I remembered blogging about a virtual girlfriend, Alice, a while ago. Now, finally, I got to test it on my HTC Touch HD. It is a free demo software and I have much fun on it. More information after the break including the download link.

This is a simple program to demonstrate AR (Augmented Reality). Once you start the player which uses your mobile camera, it will detect the cards that represents the animal. There are only 3 choice now, an Elephant, a tiger and a crane. You can move or rotate the card to see the 3D view. It is quite jerky but I have much fun on it.

Here is another shot of a tiger on my palm 🙂

Notice that the camera does not use the auto focus. It is normal. To get the software, follow the link below.

Get AR Zoo from Imagination.at

Actually, I read the profile of this company. Seems that they are looking into AR for retails and etc. If you have noticed, iPhone already have such application. It is my first time to come across one for Windows Mobile devices.

If you have other programs with AR, please let me know, I am interested to try.
