As I am a Windows user, my review will be based on Windows XP Home edition MSi Netbook U100 running on Atom processor.

Installation

  • Installing the software is easy. The software itself comes with a easy to read installation procedure. Follow it and nothing will go wrong.
  • BTW, you have to get the latest .Net Framework from Microsoft before you start installing. The link are in the installation procedure. Just follow it.
  • If you have missed this step, during installation, it will remind you again.
  • I have done a video on the installation. So, take a look at it. A bit boring but that is for the first time.

Setting Up SkyHook Wireless

After installation, you will need to setup your SkyHook Wireless software. The tricky part that you need to register yourself at BAK2U.com and use the activation pin provided to get the unlock key.

Once, this is done, the rest are quite systematical.

Setting up Your Phoenix Software

The following screenshots will tell you how you can setup your Phoenix software. In my opinion, get a Gmail account just for using this software. My illustration is based on Gmail SMTP (for sending out mails).

These are the different tabs from the Phoenix Software.

Password Tab

  • to change your password
  • to adjust the time limit to input your password. Default is 10 secs but I changed it to 20 seconds because I felt that it is too fast.
