Malicious Video Bug Crashes the iPhone, Be Warned! – Video Link

The creater of Ziphone (the software application that unlocks iPhone from AT&T network), Italian systems engineer, Piergiorgio Zambrini has made headline again. This time he found a bug that could be embedded into a video to crash the iPhone.

More information and video after the break.

According to Zambrini, there is a bug in the audio portion of Apple’s Video format. Someone can just write a program to incorporate the bug into a video. When the video is played, it triggers the bug and crash the iPhone.

But do not worry, it will NOT spoil your iPhone. It seems that it does not do any permanent damage on the iPhone except that you have to wait a few minutes for it to reset. It seems that this bug also exists in most Apple Operating Systems (OS) and on some Linux also.
