Yahoo OneSearch Identifies Your Location and Localize Your Search on Mobile Phone

Yahoo has launched a new search application called OneSearch. OneSearch recognizes the user location  through Auto Locate. Auto Locate uses cell tower and wifi information . If your GPS is on, it will use the GPS information too (According to their Help page).

Actually, this is not something new. Google has been using this type of search information on their Google Map.

With Yahoo OneSearch, the user will need just to key in to the bar as shown and it will search the nearest available information to you using Auto Locate. It has also a build in voice search function (see below). Just say anything you would type in the search box, and get relevant results.

Again, this is not something new. Google already have this application ready on Android and Apple iPhone handsets (not on WM devices though).

Now, you may be curious if I have actually tried this application or not. The truth is, my Touch HD is NOT supported! Anyway, it goes the same to Touch Diamond, Pro and etc.
