Xiaomi REDMI Noted 17 Series
Xiaomi has unveiled the REDMI Note 17 Series in Singapore, led by the first-ever REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G. Xiaomi is targeting longer battery life, tougher construction, stronger water and drop resistance, and up to six years of security updates instead of pro specs with premium price tag.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G packs Xiaomi’s largest-ever smartphone battery at 10,000mAh, supported by 100W HyperCharge and reverse charging, while the Pro 5G model gets an 8,340mAh battery and the standard Note 17 models come with 7,700mAh batteries. Xiaomi says the Pro Max can deliver up to three days of use on a single charge, with around a full day of use from 20 minutes of charging. The series also introduces REDMI Titan Quality, with the Pro models earning TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification and offering serious durability credentials, including high-grade IP water and dust resistance, underwater mode, SGS-tested drop resistance, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the Pro devices.
Beyond toughness, the Note 17 Series brings a more polished design and a handful of flagship-style features into the mid-range. Expect brighter AMOLED displays, up to 3,500 nits peak brightness on the Pro models, immersive audio with up to 400% volume boost on the Pro Max, AI features including Google Gemini, Circle to Search, and Xiaomi HyperAI on the top model, plus upgraded cameras for portraits, 4K video, dual-video recording, and AI editing tools.

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE
Samsung has announced the Galaxy S26 FE (Fan Edition), the latest addition to its Galaxy S26 family and the first in the line-up to launch with One UI 9. Positioned as a slim, value-focused flagship experience, the device brings upgraded Galaxy AI, everyday performance improvements and Samsung’s familiar Galaxy S design to users who want the essentials done well — camera, display, battery life and long-term reliability.
The phone puts a big emphasis on smarter content creation. Its enhanced triple rear camera includes 3x optical zoom, Nightography for clearer low-light shots, Super Steady with Horizontal Lock for smoother video, and a 12MP front camera for wider selfies. The Galaxy S26 FE will be available in Blueberry, Graphite and Pistachio[1] at Samsung Experience Stores and selected Consumer Electronics & IT stores from 28 August. Availability via the Samsung Online Store, Samsung Shop App and local telecommunication operators will begin on 4 September.
Consumers who purchase the Galaxy S26 FE from 28 August to 9 October at Samsung Experience Stores, or from 4 September to 9 October via the Samsung Online Store and Samsung Shop App, can enjoy savings up to $350 [2] Purchases made via the Samsung Online Store or Samsung Shop App can also enjoy 5x the redemption value of Samsung Rewards Points, capped at $50 per transaction.[3]
