Sony introduces FX5, a Cinema Line Camera
If you create films, branded videos, YouTube content or social-first campaigns, the new Sony FX5 is built to deliver a professional cinema look without the bulk of a traditional production camera. This full-frame Sony Cinema Line camera combines a newly developed stacked Exmor RS sensor with the BIONZ XR2 processor and AI-powered subject recognition, helping creators capture cleaner footage, more reliable focus and richer detail in changing lighting conditions.

The biggest upgrade for filmmakers is flexibility. The Sony FX5 supports Open Gate recording, which uses more of the sensor area so editors can crop the same shot for widescreen, vertical video or social media formats. It also records Sony’s 16-bit X-OCN RAW internally, giving colourists and editors more room to adjust exposure, colour and contrast in post-production while keeping the setup compact and travel-friendly.
For run-and-gun shooting, events, documentaries and small crew productions, the FX5 brings practical tools such as AI autofocus, Real-time Tracking, 5-axis in-body image stabilization, Dynamic Active Mode and a cooling system designed for longer recording sessions. Optional accessories, including an OLED detachable viewfinder, XLR Handle Unit and timecode adapter cable, make it easier to build the camera into a professional video workflow when your projects grow.

HP Invests in Wubble.ai

HP is turning up the volume on AI creativity with a new investment in Wubble.ai, a Singapore-based startup that helps people create music, voices and sound effects using simple prompts. Instead of juggling multiple tools, creators, professionals, educators and small businesses can describe the audio they need and generate royalty-free options in one place. The plan is to bring Wubble.ai’s edge-based audio creation app to HP’s consumer AI PC portfolio, making audio creation feel less like a production headache and more like a creative shortcut.
The big idea is hybrid AI: some AI tasks work best in the cloud, while others are faster, more private or more responsive when they happen directly on the device. By supporting Wubble.ai on HP devices, HP is showing how AI PCs can become more than productivity machines—they can become creative launchpads. For anyone making videos, streams, podcasts, presentations or marketing content, that could mean adding custom audio without needing specialist skills or a complicated studio setup.
The partnership also gives Wubble.ai a path from startup spark to regional scale. As part of HP Garage 2.0, Wubble.ai gained access to HP’s engineering, business and go-to-market support, and the commercial rollout includes a complimentary three-month Wubble.ai subscription with eligible HP consumer PC and gaming product purchases from 28 July to 30 October 2026 across several Asia-Pacific markets. In short: HP is backing a homegrown AI audio tool, Wubble.ai gets a bigger stage, and users get an easier way to make their ideas sound as good as they look.
