Huawei has quietly launched the HUAWEI Pura 70 Series that consists of the Pura 70 Ultra, Pura 70 Pro+, Pura 70 Pro and Pura 70 in China. However, I read that it was sold out immediately.
Huawei renamed its range of products. Previously, we had the P series and the Mate series. For this time, it replaced the P series with the Pura series. The Pura series is focused on cameras. The Pura 70 Ultra has a 1-inch sensor and a retractable lens. However, the retractable lens is not for optical zoom. It is just for focusing.
I could not find the official HUAWEI Pura 70 promotional video. Here is one from another source. Based on several videos and the official introduction video, it seems that HUAWEI Pura 70 has a fast camera, or it may be using AI to determine the best picture without the shake.
There is no information on international availability. BTW, it runs on Harmony OS 4. The phone has a fast 100w charging (with wire) and 80w wireless charging. You can check out the specs HERE (in Chinese).
It comes in 4 colors. I believe there are some special casings for them too.

Unfortunately, it will not have GMS (Google Mobile Service). In fact, based on report, their next HarmonyOS (called HarmonyOS NEXT) will not support Android app (e.g. APK). If this happens, it will mean that Huawei is finally ditching Google and Android for good.
Will you still buy a Huawei for its camera?
