X PLORE by OPPO

Visitors to ‘X PLORE by OPPO’ will be brought into an immersive visual dimension. Through three interactive hands-on activities, participants can not only play with the Find X’s creatively implemented innovative sliding structure that incorporates the cameras within the body of the phone, but stand the chance to win an OPPO Find X of their own. When unlocking or taking photos, the stealth camera is activated and the camera automatically slides up from the top.

To win an OPPO Find X, visitors can take an AI-enhanced selfie or experiment with the handsets Panoramic Screen and OPPO frames, simply uploading their artistic creations to Instagram using the hashtags #OPPOXPLORE & #OPPOFINDX. For another chance to win, guests can guess the number of Xs in the ‘X PLORE by OPPO’ pods, upload their image taken in the pod to Instagram using the hashtags #OPPOEXPLORE with their answer e.g. #OPPOEXPLORE There are ___ Xs.

A 3-Dimensional Art Installation by Tina Fung

To design the X PLORE by OPPO installation, OPPO is collaborating with Danish-born artist, Tina Fung, an experiential set designer to build a 3-Dimensional kaleidoscope, where she plays with the juxtaposition between light and mirror exploring the elements of X PLORE.

The X PLORE interactive pods are made of LED and mirror panels, reflective of OPPO’s digital and technological advancements. Using an artist’s impression of the Find X’s camera lens, Tina will create a design which like OPPO’s Find products, is a step closer to the perfect fusion of technology and art.

About the Bras Basah.Bugis

The Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) precinct, is Singapore’s arts, heritage and design precinct, home to the greatest concentration of museums, historic monuments, heritage buildings, places of worship, arts groups, arts schools, and lifestyle malls in the city centre. One of the oldest districts in Singapore, Bras Basah served as a suburb in the 1800s and early 1900s to the busy city centre located around Raffles Place today; while the Bugis area was notorious as a haunt for sailors and transvestites.

More recently, BBB has evolved into the centre for education, arts, design and heritage, with major attractions like the National Museum of Singapore, the Singapore Art Museum, the Peranakan Museum, The Substation Arts Centre and the National Design Centre located here.

Singapore Management University, LASALLE College of the Arts, and the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts are also situated here. BBB’s architecture is a unique and exhilarating mix of old and new, with churches and cathedrals such as the Armenian Church of Saint Gregory of the Illuminator, colourful Chinese and Hindu temples, and colonial-era buildings standing alongside stunning pieces of contemporary architecture like that of the School of the Arts (Singapore’s only high school for the arts) and the National Library.

BBB is also a lifestyle destination, with its many malls and lifestyle/F & B clusters such as CHIJMES, The Cathay, Bugis Junction and Bugis Street capitalising on heritage, design and the arts for a distinctive shopping experience. BBB also has a vibrant events calendar, with exhibitions and festivals taking place all year round, culminating in the annual Singapore Night Festival in August where Singaporeans and visitors alike take to the streets, literally, to celebrate and party through the night.
