Circles.Life Disrupts the Industry with $0/mo Flexi Plan

Written by Joe Teh on May 23, 2018

Update (24-May): Some people actually mentioned that there is a need to “top-up” every 3 months to maintain the line. However, it has since been clarified that it is not necessary as long as the consumer use the line at least once every 3 months (additional info from source)

Update 2 (24-May 12:30pm SGT): Here is the official response from Circles.Life

https://pages.circles.life/terms/mobile/#VII

  1. There is no need to top up S$8 every three months to keep the flexi-plan running
  2. People can still have $0 bill/ month as long as they use the number actively
  3. Being active means any telco service they use

Circles. Life has done it again, disrupting the telco market with another innovative product. Its latest $0 per month Flexi Plan is out of the world. By paying nothing, you get a free SIM card, 1GB of data, 30 mins of talktime, 10 SMS and Caller ID.

A lot of people will be thinking. What is the catch? Circles.Life has declared that there is none. If you dig further, you will understand that once you pass the free 1GB data or 30mins talktime, you have to pay more to get them – 1GB for S$8, 2GB for S$12 and additional 30 minutes talktime with free 10 SMS for S$5. That, in my opinion, is the only “catch”.

But if you already pay nothing, this “top-up” is really not deal breaker. Moreover, you can upgrade at any time to their base plan of S$28 for 6GB of data or S$48 for 26GB of data.

So, for those who are unsure if they should jump ship to Circles.Life, this is your chance to check them out at zero cost to you.

If you are still hesitating because you think it is a hazard to go to their shops to sign up, they have a solution for you. Circles.Life is working with SingPost to provide more choices for people to sign up. So, on top of signing up online, Circles.Life is initially rolling out kiosks at the General Post Office, Sengkang, and Woodlands post offices where customers can sign-up and get their SIM card immediately.
