Now there is a self-service zone, #PlayatJCube (in JCube, of course) where you can eat, shop and even sing (karaoke) via the 19 vending machines. Since it is self-service at the machines, you can have your snacks or food even after the usual operating hours.
The zone is named as #PlayatJCube. It spreads through an area of 90 square meters. This is not the usual food vending machines. It offers an international cuisine menu from the World Chef Series, and other ranges including local favorites, Chinese, Western, Japanese and Spanish.

JCube launches self-service zone to cater to shoppers’ lifestyle needs
Shoppers can purchase hot food, apparel and knick-knacks, and even sing karaoke using the 19 vending machines at #PlayatJCube The Corner, which operate till late
Singapore, 1 December 2017 – JCube today launched a self-service lifestyle zone, comprising a carefully curated cluster of vending machines that combines dining, shopping and entertainment options with a cosy seating area under an innovative artificial skylight panel. Named #PlayatJCube The Corner, the 90-square-metre space houses 19 vending machines that allow shoppers to purchase hot food, apparel and knick-knacks, and even sing karaoke.
In addition to complementing the retail mix at JCube, #PlayatJCube The Corner offers unprecedented convenience to the community. The vending machines operate extended hours – alongside other JCube tenants such as The Rink, Shaw Theatres and Teo Heng KTV Studio. This means that residents in the area can visit #PlayatJCube The Corner to grab a quick bite when they get hungry at night, or need to do some last minute shopping.
#PlayatJCube The Corner is a collaboration between JCube, food and beverage (F&B) operator JR Group Holdings Pte Ltd, retailer Decks Pte Ltd and entertainment provider U-Star Singapore Pte Ltd, with support from SPRING Singapore and Singapore Productivity Centre. It was launched today at an event graced by guest-of-honour Ms Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Shoppers can satisfy their hunger pangs with a variety of delicious hot meals, snacks and drinks from seven Chef-in-Box vending machines. Offering the international cuisine menu from the World Chef Series, and other ranges including local favourites, Chinese, Western, Japanese and Spanish, there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy. All food items are prepared in a halal-certified kitchen, and the meals will be replenished daily. Food items will be rotated every month to allow shoppers to savour new gastronomical flavours. Shoppers can select their food and receive their meal within three minutes. Prices range from $3.50 to $7.00 per item.

Retail therapy takes a new spin with eight vending machines operated by Decks. One can look forward to picking up trendy fashion and small thoughtful gifts from the collection of T-shirts, shorts, slippers, casual bags, toys and phone accessories available. The average dispensing rate per purchase is 10 seconds, just right for shoppers who need instant gratification. The product range will be refreshed regularly, so that shoppers can have something new to look forward to. Prices range from $1 to $39.90 per item.

Sing to your heart’s content in the privacy of M-Bar – a mini karaoke recording studio that can accommodate up to two persons at a time. The comprehensive and up-to-date song list covers hits from different languages. M-Bar provides circumaural headphones that produce acoustics similar to a standard karaoke room. In addition, its column acoustic wedge, curtain, slight floor vibration simulates the environment of a recording studio. Shoppers can receive a copy of their song performance for free by scanning the QR code generated after their session via Facebook or WeChat. Four M-Bar booths are available and packages start from $3.99 and up to $16.99.
