Alibaba announced a record-breaking US$25.3 billion (RMB168.2 billion or SGD $34.3 billion*) of gross merchandise volume (GMV) settled through Alipay on 11th November 2017. Here are some stats. According to the official information, Singapore consumers recorded a 63% year-on-year increase in spending on Tmall and Taobao Marketplace. This is actually not surprising. What is surprising is that the first order from Singapore is a coffee table!
Singapore brands on Tmall also saw a 240% year-on-year growth in GMV on their products. Check out the lists below.
