This evening, Samsung officially announced details of the Galaxy Note7 Exchange Programme for Singapore customers. From 16th September to 2nd October 2016, customers who have purchased a Galaxy Note7 can exchange their current Galaxy Note7 device for a new Galaxy Note7 in the same color via self-collection at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre or via free home delivery. Note that the Note7 must be purchased via the official source. More information below.

Samsung Announces Local Galaxy Note7 Exchange Programme
Singapore, 6 September 2016 – Samsung Electronics Singapore today announced the roll-out of the Galaxy Note7 exchange programme for Singapore customers. Following the reported cases of battery cell issues with the Galaxy Note7 device, Samsung is taking a proactive approach to organize an exchange programme to support their Galaxy Note7 customers. The exchange programme will provide existing Galaxy Note7 customers with a new replacement Galaxy Note7 in exchange for their current devices.
“Samsung is committed to our valued customers, where their safety and ongoing customer experience is our absolute top priority,” said Eugene Goh, Vice President, IT & Mobile, Samsung Electronics Singapore. “Our customers are important to us and we advise them to replace their current Galaxy Note7 for a new one under the exchange programme.”
Beginning 16 September to 2 October 2016, customers who have purchased a Galaxy Note7 from any local telecommunication operators, major consumer electronics stores, authorised mobile retailers, Samsung Experience Stores and Samsung Lazada Singapore Online Store can exchange their current Galaxy Note7 device for a new Galaxy Note7 in the same colour via self-collection at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre or via free home delivery. To exchange their Galaxy Note7 device through either of the options, consumers would be required to submit their preferred collection time slot online at www.samsung.com/sg/note7exchange within the booking period of 9 to 25 September 2016.
In the meantime, courtesy devices are available for loan (subject to stock availability) to Galaxy Note7 customers, while they wait for their Galaxy Note7 exchange.
Galaxy Note7 customers who participate in the exchange programme will have the warranty period on their device extended to commence from the date of the exchange.
