If you love your Google Calendar, you might love it even more with Google’s latest Calendar app. It is more intuitive and I think it looks nicer too.

With the new calendar, it will automatically check the content of the email (Gmail) and if it involves an event, it appear as an event in the calendar. You will not need to lift a finger to key in the details.

I actually like this feature a lot as I always find it a hassle to key in an event manually. And now, the view on the calendar looks prettier. Check out the video to see what I meant.

According to Google blog post, the new Google Calendar will work on Android 4.1 and above. It is now available for Android 5.0 (Android Lollipop or Android L) and will be available for the rest in coming weeks.
