Shocking report of radiation from Fukushima 3 years after Tepco Nuclear Plant disaster (video)

It is a sad day on 11th March 2011. An earthquake hit Japan causing a Tsunami. In my opinion, it might be the best documented Tsunami, although that caused the lost of thousands of lives. It is my first time witnessing (from video footage) the power of a Tsunami.

However, that Tsunami might not be the worse thing that happened during that period. Days after the earthquake cum Tsunami, Japan has to deal with the nuclear crisis from the Tepco Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in Fukushima.

Suffering from an impending meltdown, Japan government and Tepco had to tackle it carefully and quickly to avoid the crisis. Thankfully, it was contained (or was it?). 3 years on, VICE sent people into Fukushima to check on the current radiation situation.

What you are about to see/hear will make you think twice about the official report of Fukushima from Japan.

Of course, there is no way to judge the situation just by a video. However, the Geiger meter reading from the radiation meter in the video is something that makes us worry. The sad part in the video is that the vegetable farmer hanged himself after realizing that he had been selling radiation contaminated vegetables unknowingly for two weeks.

Having said that, I do admire the resilient of the Japanese people during the crisis. I wonder what would happen if it had happened else where.
