Samsung introduces Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit in Singapore

While Samsung launches the GALAXY S5 LTE in Singapore, it also launches the wearables. They are the Samsung Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit. All of them are IP67 certified. Samsung launches next generation of wearable devices – Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit – in Singapore

New devices blend style, fitness and convenience to provide ultimate connectivity for the active mobile consumer

Singapore – March 27, 2014 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the launch of its latest wearables line – the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit – designed to take the freedom, convenience and style of wearable technology to the next level. Power up with Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo

The Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo are essential companion devices, which act as an extension of a consumer’s daily life, offering them more control.

Both devices allow users to make and receive calls, and receive and reply messages. Users can even customise reply messages using S Voice. Email and other notifications can be viewed on the SUPER AMOLED screen so users can always be in touch, anytime and anywhere.

Staying fit has never been easier with the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo, which offer personal fitness coaching in real time, and a built-in Heart Rate Sensor1 allows users to develop a customisable fitness routine in order to improve their overall well-being. The addition of a Standalone Music Player with 4GB2 internal memory means users can leave their smartphones at home while still being able to enjoy their favourite tunes.

Certified for qualified protection from water and dust (IP673), the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo remain the best companion even if it rains during a run or during an active day at the beach. Both devices keep dust particles out and protect against harmless ingress of water for up to 30 minutes of submergence at a depth of one metre3. For users who enjoy capturing the perfect moment on the go, Gear 2 comes with a 2.0MP camera to complete your outdoor experience.

Even at home, the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo are the best companions that let users easily control their TV and set-top box via WatchON™ with the embedded IrLED sensor. Users no longer need to search for the remote control to switch on the TV, switch channels or adjust the volume.

Consumers are also able to express their mood or coordinate their outfit with modern and sophisticated colour options for Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo. Gear 2 features a premium metallic finish and a polished exterior that encloses a 2.0 MP camera while Gear 2 Neo is designed for greater mobility. The home screen background, clock face and font are customisable to reflect personal taste and users can also change straps to match their style for the day. A homescreen button has also been added to both devices on the bezel to allow users to easily return to the home menu.
