  • Go to this Site
  • Copy the code (line 1 to line 40)
  • Go to Chrome Browser
  • Login to your Facebook account.
  • On your Facebook page, Press CTRL+SHIFT+J to open up the Console Tab
  • Paste the copied code into the Console Tab and press Enter
  • A pop up will come up. Copy the link. This is the link to your Lookback video
  • Paste this link on your Chrome browser
  • Enjoy the video. Press CTRL S to save it in MP4 format

That is it. Just a note. If you notice, your Facebook Lookback video is actually visible to anyone with the link. I am fine with it but if your paranoid with Privacy, you might not be comfortable.

Here is mine 🙂 . Thank you Facebook. It does bring back memories.

PS: If you have a better way, let me know

“Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method ‘split’ of undefined VM2462:31
xmlhttp.onreadystatechange VM338:31”. Last night, I did managed to share it on my wall and I deleted thinking to re-share with my of my words before the video. Thereafter, I only get a photo of Lookback and the video is no longer there. Please help if possible.

Hi, Julia, just go back to and you should be able to see the “Share Your Movie” button. I don’t think it will be lost. Good luck 🙂

I have the same issue. I opened the video and now it takes me to a screen with my pictures and it says thank you. I want to repost my video

how can you paste the 40 lines, the “paste” command does not respond when on the console page.

  • joeteh

First, you go to Chrome browser, login to your Facebook account. On the same Facebook page, press CTRL+SHIFT+J. The console will pop up. Just paste the code (CTRL+V) and press ENTER. You should get a pop up. The trick is that you must be on your Facebook page…

This is controlled by Facebook. Please try again. I am sure everyone can get this awesome lookback video. Good luck 🙂
