Sony today announces the availability of Sony PlayStation 4 in Japan from 22nd February 2014. This is 3 months after its debut in North America and Europe. It is also the first time that the game console is available elsewhere first, rather than in Japan.
During the conference which was telecast live, Sony mentioned that a separate announcement will be made for Asia on 18th September.
From the conference, Sony says that the delay to Japan market is due to localization of the content to suit the Japan market. I wonder what is the reason for missing Asia since we don’t need Japanese content. We speak English, remember?
Anyway, for those who wish to know more, go check out the 2 hours of recorded live stream from the event.
