This picture you are looking at might be the Facebook Phone that many has been talking about. However, as I always stress, it might just be a fake. Given that EVLEAKS has always been giving some real leaks, this might just be true.

This is not the first time about Facebook Phone. But this time, it seems more real. Based on some other information, this HTC Myst might be the code name for HTC first (aka Facebook Phone). Here are some specs.

Not exactly top of the range specs but this is exactly what Facebook might have wanted. Facebook should be accessible to most people. A high end phone might put people off. So, this specs might just be correct (seems to indicate a low to mid range phone).

According to rumors, the Facebook phone is not exactly a Facebook phone. It is just a home screen that could be on any other Android phones. This Thursday, Facebook will be announcing “something” and this might be it.

Android Police has managed to get a system dump of the Facebook phone and they have dug up quite a number of things. For example, it shows that this Facebook Phone has ability to toggle some functions on the phone.

The new Facebook app has the follow extra Android permissions:

• SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW – The Facebook app can spawn windows that stay on top of all other windows. According to the Android docs, “these windows are intended for system-level interaction with the user.”
• DISABLE_KEYGUARD – It can turn off your lock screen.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED – Facebook starts as soon as your phone starts.
• GET_TASKS – The Facebook app can see what apps you have currently running.
• CHANGE_WIFI_STATE – It can control your WiFi connection
• WRITE_SETTINGS – It can change your system settings
