Austrian Student Received 1,222 Pages of Personal Data from Facebook

An Austrian law student, Max, thinks that it will be interesting to request his personal data from Facebook. Never did he expect to receive 1,222 pages of them. And he is not taking it lightly. He has sent his complaints to the Data Protection Commissioner (DPC) in Ireland.

According to him, it holds many information.

This included photos, messages and postings on his Facebook page dating back years, some of which he thought he had deleted, the times he had clicked “like” on an item, “pokes” of fellow users, and reams of other information.

So, now you know that when you delete something from Facebook, it means only that it hides away from you. The data is still stored in their servers.
