Color App Posts Pictures to Facebook, Allows Live Streaming

There are already so many photosharing and it is always good to see one that “strays” away from the usual. Color is an app (in close testing phase) that is closely integrated to Facebook.

The concept seems simple. Use the app, Color, to upload pictures to Facebook. When your friends see the picture and like it, they can request a live video feed. Once accepted, your phone camera becomes “eyes” in the live feed. Here is an explanation from Engadget.

The new Color harnesses updates to the social Network’s Open Graph protocol to introduce the concept of “visits,” a social gesture that prompts a user to request a live video feed from a Facebook friend upon seeing an interesting photo in their feeds on the social network or in the iPhone / Android app.

For now, you can request an invitation to preview Color.
