This is Definitely NOT an iPhone 4

Got a chance to take a look at a fake iPhone 4 and I am actually very impress with it. First of all, it has done a good job of faking it and secondly, it actually adds more functions to the existing iPhone 4.

Hardware

Physically, it looks like an iPhone 4. If it is in a casing, it is difficult to tell it apart.

It even has similar printing on the back.

If you put it next to a real iPhone 4, you might be fooled.

(left is fake, right is real)

BTW, this fake iPhone 4 has capacitive touchscreen.

Software

User Interface (UI)-wise, it looks similar with similar icons. It has some programs installed in it. One of them is Talking Tom Cat. Here is a screenshot of it. It works.

If you think that most fake phones UI are skin-deep, you are wrong this time. It even has the multi-task tools bar. Double click on the main button, you can call up this function (which is exactly the same as the real one).

Press and hold on the icons will cause them to vibrate. However, you cannot end-task them. Next, if you look carefully at the signal bar, you can see a 1 and 2.

Yes, it supports dual-SIM cards.

Everything is done in such a way that it resembles the iOS. It even has radio function that does not need a headset to activate. And if you probe on their “About” in settings, you can see this. Can you see iOS 4.0? 🙂

Nevertheless, Apple should not be worried or even care about it. The overall experience is not very good. The touch interface seems laggy and most of the icons might not even work. You cannot access Apple Store and there are some issues with WiFi connection. However, this is one of the best (if not the best) fake that I come across.

BTW, it will set you back by S$200 for this fake iPhone 4.
