Twitter announced that they are going to enhance their search results to be more relevant. At the same time, it is also introducing Photo. So, what is photo for Twitter?
Some information on the search from Twitter blog.
Today we’re starting to roll out a completely new version of Twitter search. Not only will it deliver more relevant Tweets when you search for something or click on a trending topic, but it will also show you related photos and videos, right there on the results page. It’s never been easier to get a sense of what’s happening right now, wherever your curiosity takes you.
Another cool feature will be an add-on for Mozilla Firefox. With this add on, users can search #hastag or @username on address bar.
Most people have been uploading pictures to their tweets. So, what is this Photo feature? Twitter has partnered with Photobucket and it will host these pictures. Currently, we are using third party applications like yfrog, TweetPic and etc for uploading our pictures. Now, with the partnership, there will be a dedicated button on Twitter to share the photos.
This feature will roll out in these few weeks and over time, mobile app will have this feature too. As a consumer, I seriously don’t think much about it. What do you think?
