A Short Encounter with Nintendo 3Ds

This came as a surprise. Today, my friend brought along a Nintendo 3Ds as he wanted to ask if it can be changed to English language. You see, it was bought in Japan and as many consumers are already accustomed to the multi-languages on devices, not many would have thought that Japan still hold on to the stance that releases in Japan are solely in Japanese language only.

Nevertheless, I still take some time to give it a spin. What is interesting is of course the screen that can display in 3D without any eyewear.

It is one of the better 3D display I have seen. Very nice 3D generated. Of course, some had problem looking at the 3D screen for a long time. That is why, Nintendo actually make a slider switch to allow the user to adjust the depth of the 3D.

The Nintendo 3Ds has a front camera and a pair of rear camera (for 3D).

I love the camera that can immediately display the 3D effect. I did not try out any games as they are all in Japanese. So, for those who wish to buy in Japan, you have to take note that language will be in Japanese and the charging adapter is ONLY 100v (not variable). You will need a transformer before you can plug it in (for Singapore).

Having said that, although it is bought in Japan, it is made in China (as shown on the label).

Hopefully, it will be released to other countries in English language. On the official website, it states that Nintendo 3Ds is available from 27th March
