HP Announced WebOS Veer, Pre 3 and TouchPad Tablet

HP has just announced the arrival of 3 new products. They are the credit card size Veer, the Pre3 and the 9.7-inch TouchPad Tablet. All of them are running on WebOS, of course.

Most of the talk is on HP TouchPad. What I think is that they have done a great job on the product. In one of the comments, HP states that the Multi-task function is designed from the start and not an afterthought. I guess HP could be referring to iPad, iPhone or the Windows Phone 7.

Now, first product is Veer.

It is super small.

Next, the Pre 3

Now, the highlight of the event, TouchPad

Here are the specs.

One of the nice feature of this tablet is the touch to share. You can “transfer” the content to a Pre 3 just by getting it near to the TouchPad tablet.

The accessories. Note that the dock is also a Touchstone. That means it can charge the tablet wirelessly. Nice.

The TouchPad will be available (in the US) from Summer with WiFi only and with 3G/4G later. No news about TouchPad coming to other part of the world.

That is not all. There are a lot of talks about future development and partnership. One example of partnership is the Time Magazine. It is interactive.

Finally, before the event ended, HP announced some “shocking” news. WebOS is going to invade the PC later this year. Not much details but I guess it is similar direction we have seen on Apple when they mentioned that Mac OS is going to adopt to iPad style layout.
