Facts and Info on The Daily, News Designed for iPad – Video Within

The Daily has finally debut on iPad. There are some delays as I understand (previously, what we heard was January launch). Nevertheless, it is just the starting of February and The Daily is now available on iPad. So what is so special about The Daily on iPad.

Thanks to Ann from The Daily who send me the information, I know more about The Daily now.

First of all, The Daily is built from scratch for the iPad by a team of top journalists and designers. It is updated daily in almost every aspect of the news.

I love this sentence from the description.

The Daily has the depth and quality of a magazine but is delivered daily like a newspaper and updated in real-time like the web

It says it all. Here is a video of The Daily on iPad in action.

The Daily is subscription based. It is surprisingly affordable. The Daily is available through Apple’s iTunes subscription service and via the iPad App Store for $0.99 a week or $39.99 a year.

And The Daily is free for two weeks from the time you download it to your iPad.

Some highlights of The Daily include:

  • Original content every single day of the year
  • Original videos
  • 360-degree photos you can explore by swiping
  • Immersive photography
  • Interactive charts, info-graphics and clickable hot spots
  • The option to save articles to read later
  • Web-friendly versions of articles you can share via Twitter, Facebook and e-mail
  • Your favorite sports teams’ scores, news and photos
