Google Updated Gmail for Android and Make it an App

Google has updated Gmail on Android with more features. And now, it is made into an app on Android Market. However, you will need Froyo (Android 2.2) to use it.

According to Google, with the Gmail becoming an app, new features on Gmail can be released faster since users do not need to wait for System Update to get it. Very true.

BTW, the new features includes: –

  • Limited Priority Inbox (provided you activated it on your Gmail account via web)
  • Message Actions will “stick” to the page even when you scroll down
  • “Show Quote” feature to allow you to see the history of the email.
