Samsung Strengthens Leadership in the IT Visual Display Category with nine new LED monitors
SINGAPORE, 9 June 2010 – Samsung Electronics has launched a comprehensive suite of nine LED monitors, designed to meet the visual display needs of today’s discerning consumers. Samsung’s market share in the IT Visual Display category has grown steadily over the years and today is the top brand in the LCD monitor market. The company intends to increase market share by demonstrating value through innovative features which will maximise user experience.

The latest LED line-up features ultra-slim and eco-friendly designs as well as the in-built Samsung Magic Series software for superior viewing experiences. The Magic Series software features the MagicAngle function which delivers a differentiated viewing experience, allowing users to experience perfect picture quality from any angle.
Samsung LED visual displays are among the most environmentally-friendly products in the market and have been designed to significantly reduce power consumption. Samsung’s MagicEco feature enables users to choose from four preset energy saving options (100%, 75%, 50%, and Power-Saving Off) which adjust the brightness of the screen accordingly. Samsung’s LED technology uses up to 40 per cent less power usage while in standard operation and uses a mere 0.3W when in standby mode. Additionally, the mercury and lead-free manufacturing process eliminates the use of harmful sprays and paints and makes it easier to recycle the LED Monitors at the end of the product’s life.
For easy viewing on dual displays, the Samsung Magic series includes the MagicReturn function which allows automatic screen return when one monitor is powered off. The intelligent transition of content from one monitor to a users’ second monitor, avoids disrupting work or entertainment when the monitor experiences power-off situations.
Samsung 70 Series LED Monitor
The PX2370 is designed for the user who demands professional picture quality for work or entertainment. Built to give users a comfortable viewing experience, the MagicLux is an ergonomically inspired feature that eliminates eye strain by adjusting on-screen brightness in accordance with external illumination.
The Series 70 boasts an industry-leading response time of 2ms, and is fully equipped with 1080p Full HD resolution. With its mega dynamic contrast (5 mil : 1) and16:9 aspect ratio, users can enjoy high quality home entertainment content on the 70 Series. To enrich picture quality, the Series 70 is the only LED monitor which boasts 100 per cent sRGB colour coverage for deeper and richer images.

The Samsung PX2370 LED Monitors in 23-inch size is available at the recommended retail price of $498.
Samsung 50 Series LED Monitors
The 50 Series is an ideal LED Monitor designed for the user who wants to enjoy multimedia content. With an ultra sleek and high-gloss black bezel, the 28mm slim 50 Series is beautifully crafted with a rich, glossy ToC finish to provide greater flexibility when enjoying content in the office or at home.
With a wide range of video input options, the dual HDMI ports let users play content from a Blu-ray player while multi-tasking on a laptop via a HDMI connection to maximise the entertainment experience. The 50 Series feature a 16:9 aspect ratio, mega dynamic contrast (5 mil : 1)Â and a response time of 2ms allowing users to watch action-packed movies and play PC games in style, with perfect clarity.
The Samsung BX2250, BX2350, BX2450 LED Monitors are available in 22-inch, 23-inch and 24-inch sizes at recommended retail prices of S$368, S$448 and S$498 respectively.
Samsung 20 Series LED Monitors
Crafted to meet the basic needs of users who want to enjoy crystal sharp images on an LED monitor, the Samsung 20 Series monitors feature a 16:9 aspect ratio, mega dynamic contrast (1 mil: 1) and a response time of 5ms.
The Samsung EX1920X, EX2020X, EX2220X LED Monitors are available in 19-inch, 20-inch and 22 inch sizes at a recommended retail price of S$208, S$268 and S$348 respectively.
Samsung LED Digital Photo Frame W Series
For socially active users who want to share more than photos with an LED photo frame, the Samsung LED Digital Photo Frame W Series is able to play music and video files. It also acts as a mini monitor for laptops through a USB 2.0 connection.
Enjoy razor-sharp and bright images of up to 1 Gigabyte storage space on the 1000W and 800W with high resolutions of 1024×768 and 800×600 pixel display respectively.
The LED Digital Photo Frame W Series comes with additional features that allow users to share memories with loved ones. Images can now be enjoyed in portrait or landscape by using an integrated gravitation sensor which allows the W Series to auto-pivot images. Samsung MD Series
The Samsung MD Series takes professional display experience to the next level and is built to meet the needs of extreme users who want an LCD monitor that comes with multiple screens.
The MD Series is designed with an ultra thin bezel that seamlessly connects the monitors’ multiple screens, allowing professional users to have a paranomic view of vital data at a single glance. The MD230X6 is equipped with No Picture Distortion capabilities through its Wide Viewing Angle, while boasting sharp images with the World’s Best Static Contrast Ratio at 3000:1, tantalising users’ visual senses.
To meet the multimedia needs of users, the MD series has a wide range of connectivity options such as D-sub, DVI and Display Port (DP). The MD Series comes with a Multi Control Pad for up to six monitors to give users ease and convenience when being used.
The Samsung MD230X3 and the MD230X6 are available at a recommended retail price of S$2,588 and S$4,488 respectively.
