Bad news for iPhone users. 2 person actually hacked into the iPhone SMS database in 20 seconds. What they did was to get the iPhone into a malicious website and with no other input of the user, they were able to steal the entire database, inclusive of the send, received and deleted SMSes.

Luckily, these 2 person are actually Vincenzo Iozzo and Ralf-Philipp Weinmann, security researchers, participating in the Pwn2Own event.

They have won themselves the first prize of US$15,000 and Apple will get to have their code for this “amazing” feat.

In the meanwhile, try not to go to any malicious websites 🙂
