If you have been using Google Latitude, you should know by now, the benefit of it. I have been using it quite intensively and I must say that it is a good application. Now, Google has continue to improve its function by adding History and alert functions to it.
As many as always fear that their privacy will be invaded, Google has an option to enable and disable this History function. And it cannot be shared by your friends. You can delete any location if needed.
The next function that is enhanced is the Google Locaton Alerts. It becomes smarter. If you and your friend is at a unique location, it will send you an alert (via email and/or SMS) to let you know.
It is also smart enough to dismiss the alert if you and your friends have a history of meeting at a particular place at the similar time. This is important to avoid getting email or SMS alerts on such information.
To be able to get these functions, you must have Latitude account and enable both the History and Alerts Function.
