M1 introduces new services to the users. They are PhoneGuard and Phone Back-up. Launching on 19th Oct 2009, it will be on 20% discount until next January. More information after the break.
Behind this software is actually Bak2U who has been making phone security software for sometime.
What is in the software?
PhoneGuard
PhoneGuard lets you preset a phone number – perhaps that of a family member or friend – on your device. If you happen to lose your phone and someone else slips his SIM into the stolen phone, an SMS will be sent to the preset number informing your family member or friend the phone number of the thief. You can then use this number to trace your stolen phone.
Available as a download for a one-time charge, PhoneGuard is applicable to Windows*, SonyErisson*, BlackBerry and Symbian devices.

Phone Back-up
Phone Back-up enables you to backup the data on your device. If you happen to lose your phone, data will still be intact.
Available as a download for a one-time charge, Phone Back-up is only applicable to BlackBerry devices.
