Read this news on the Newspaper. It says the a soldier, Lance Corporal Craig Lundberg, lost his sight due to a grenade during his tour of duty. Now, with technology, he is able to “see” again using his tongue. Amazing. Video after the break.<\/p>\n

After his injury, he was selected to test out this new technology. The device is called Brain Port. It consists of a video camera sunglasses that is attached to a probe (lollipop) that the user will put in his mouth.<\/p>\n

BrainPort consists of a pair of video camera-equipped sunglasses that are themselves attached to a “lollipop” that’s placed in the mouth. Whatever is captured by the camera is converted into electrical pulses that are sent to the tongue. The brain then processes those those pulses as pixelated images.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
